Are you an experienced specialist in gastroenterology and hepatology looking for a role where you can combine advanced clinical work, collaboration with highly skilled colleagues, and excellent opportunities for professional development?
We are currently seeking a hepatologist with at least five years of experience as a specialist physician to join a highly specialized team at one of Sweden's leading university-affiliated hospitals. This opportunity offers the chance to work with complex liver disease, transplantation medicine, and tertiary-level care in a modern and research-oriented environment.
Your role
As a specialist in gastroenterology and hepatology, you will:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with complex liver diseases
- Participate in both outpatient and inpatient hepatology care
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams involved in advanced liver treatment and transplantation
- Contribute to teaching and supervision of junior colleagues and medical students
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental development
- Take part in on-call duties together with experienced colleagues
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who has:
- EU-recognized specialist certification in Gastroenterology and Hepatology
- At least five years of experience working as a specialist physician
- Experience in hepatology and management of advanced liver diseases
- Experience related to liver transplantation
- Strong communication skills in English and a willingness to learn Swedish
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
Research experience, academic involvement, or a PhD is considered an advantage.
