Senior Hardware Engineer
About the role
Cleverex Bemanning is supporting Olsbergs Electronics AB in the recruitment of a Senior Electronics Hardware Engineer with technical lead responsibility to join its operations at Olsbergs Electronics in Vallentuna.
As part of the Hiab group, a global leader in intelligent and sustainable load handling solutions, Olsbergs Electronics designs and manufactures advanced electro-hydraulic control systems tailored for mobile machinery, and has strong track record of market-leading control technologies for truck-mounted and forestry cranes.
In this role, you will become an important part of a small, cross-functional product development team where electronics development takes place in close collaboration with production, testing and other engineering disciplines. The role is well suited to a senior electronics engineer who wants to remain hands-on in development while also taking broader technical responsibility for the electronics area.

Your responsibilities
In this role, you will, among other things:
- Work hands-on with electronics design within both analog and digital electronics
- Work with schematic design and PCB design
- Develop and further improve electronic solutions for control systems, HMI units, sensors and radio communication
- Participate throughout the development process, from concept and design to prototypes, testing and production
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting and verification in the lab
- Support production with technical challenges
- Handle product maintenance, component replacements, End-of-Life and Last-Time-Buy activities
- Take technical lead responsibility for the electronics area
- Coordinate and prioritize technical activities together with the team
- Contribute to structure, documentation, processes and ways of working
- Keep up with technological developments and identify relevant new solutions and tools
- Act as technical support and mentor to other engineers within the team
- Collaborate with colleagues and project members both in Sweden and internationally
The role does not include personnel responsibility. The focus is on technical leadership combined with continued hands-on involvement in development.
Your profile
To succeed in this role, Hiab is looking for someone with a solid background in electronics development who is comfortable independently driving technical topics.
You have:
- Several years of experience in electronics hardware design at a senior level
- Experience in both analog and digital electronics
- Strong experience in schematic design and PCB design
- Hands-on experience in testing, verification and troubleshooting
- Experience with Altium is a requirement
- Experience in product development where electronics forms part of a larger system
- Previous experience taking technical responsibility, for example as a Tech Lead, Lead Engineer, Technical Project Lead or Senior Engineer with a coordinating role
- Very good spoken and written English. Fluent Swedish is considered an advantage but is not an absolute requirement for the right candidate.
It is also considered highly advantageous if you have experience in:
- Functional Safety
- ISO 13849 or related standards
- Radio communication
- Embedded systems
- Automotive, heavy vehicles or industrial products
- Production and industrialization
As a person, you are self-driven, solution-oriented and structured. The role suits someone who is comfortable diving into the details to troubleshoot a technical issue in the lab, while also being able to step back and create structure and direction for the electronics area.
The team works closely together in a collaborative and low-prestige environment, making teamwork, ownership and a willingness to contribute where needed particularly important.
