Are you an experienced leader with a passion for both technology and people? Do you thrive on driving quality and developing teams in a mobile application environment? Now you have the opportunity to join us as an Engineering Manager for our Mobile Applications QA team at Axis HQ in Lund.
What you'll do here as Engineering Manager?
In this role, you will take ownership of the quality strategy for our mobile platforms (iOS and Android). You will lead a dedicated team of testers and work closely with developers and product managers to ensure our mobile experiences are robust, performant, and user friendly.
Some of your responsibilities include:
Define and drive the QA strategy for Axis mobile applications.
Lead and mentor the QA team by nurturing a culture of continuous learning and technical innovation.
Oversee the development and maintenance of automated test frameworks and drive improvements in CI/CD pipelines specifically for mobile applications.
Take ownership of test environments and labs.
Collaborate with Development and Product Management to align quality goals with roadmaps, business needs and user expectations.
Collaborate with other QA managers at Axis to share best practices, harmonize testing methods and plan testing of complete solutions.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced leader who has a deep understanding of software testing and a proven track record in mobile app development environments. We believe you have a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar, along with several years of experience in a leadership or management role, preferably within QA.
You have a technical background with a solid understanding of mobile specific challenges, such as OS fragmentation, connectivity issues, and user experience. You are experienced in agile methodologies and understand how to integrate quality into every step of the development lifecycle. Proficiency in programming and experience with mobile automation tools are significant advantages.
As a leader, you are open minded and structured, with a strong interest in developing people as well as technology. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization in both Swedish and English. You take initiative, inspire your team, and never lose sight of the common goal to deliver a premium user experience.
