We're reshaping R&D at Sandvik Coromant into a simpler, faster and more customer-focused organization, built around the capabilities that matter most for the future of machining. As a member of the new R&D leadership team, reporting to the VP R&D, you help set the direction for the entire function, strengthen collaboration across teams and sites, and accelerate innovation. Together, we build a high-performing organization defined by curiosity, speed and impact.

Your profile

You bring senior leadership experience from industrial R&D, materials development, process technology or another technology-intensive environment. As a leader, you're strategic, inclusive and business-minded. You create clarity when priorities shift, build trust across an international network and develop teams that collaborate, share knowledge and keep improving. You make complex technical priorities easy to understand for both experts and decision-makers.

To thrive in this role, you also need:

An advanced degree in materials science, engineering, metallurgy, physics, chemistry, manufacturing technology or a related field. A PhD is an advantage.

Experience taking technology from research and validation through industrialization and production transfer.
